If you follow us, you know we love the farmer’s market on Saturdays. It’s a ritual for us. Venturing to the farmer’s market is one thing, and knowing what to do with produce that’s in season is another. With summer at its peak, fresh fruits are in their prime – perfect for pies. Today we’re making a beautifully delicious blueberry pie.
We found the recipe here. The key is to get 4 cups (or 2 pints) of fresh blueberries from your farmer’s market. All other ingredients are pretty standard items you have in your home for baking including: sugar, cornstarch, salt, butter, eggs and water. You can pre-buy pie crust or make it yourself. We love to bake our goods on Sunday mornings so we have a sweet treat after dinner. Plus, leftovers can always be used as a midweek pick-me-up with your coworkers. Enjoy!
