A Bridesmaid Brunch to Remember

We love celebrating our friends every day, but National Friendship Day calls for a little something extra.  Selecting your bridesmaids is one of the most important things you’ll do wedding planning.  These girls that are by your side for all events throughout your engagement and, of course, on the big day.  You know your girls will go above and beyond for you, so it’s important to show them how much you care as well.

Popping the question to your girls can be a super fun event to not only make them feel special, but get them together so they can get to know each other better.  Have a group that gets to know each other from the start is key to super fun events throughout the year.  To pull this together, you’ll need champs, apps, some flowers and adorable gifts.

Food & Drinks

Keep it simple with easy finger foods & champagne or rosé.  Not a cook?  Not to worry – cater out!  If you willing to dabble and get your hands dirty, we highly recommend watermelon feta bites, honey & brie crostinis, peach caprese salad with a solid meat & cheese platter.   For drinks, you can pop bottles of champagne (or rosé) or for something more personal, you could give each gal a bottle as part of her gift.

The key here is presentation.  We absolutely love Crate & Barrel's platters for get togethers like this.  Having a handful of neutral items is perfect for every party.  You'll get so many things through your registry, but we recommend investing in these 4 items to get started.  Our absolute favorite item is the stemless wine glass.  It's beyond perfect for so many occasions from fun drinks to tiny vases to dessert cups.  At only $2 per glass, you really can't go wrong!   Next favorite on the list is the 2 tiered server because it adds levels and texture to any presentation plus it's a great space saver on a table.  The Crate & Barrel chips & dip set is pairs or separates for ultimate versatility plus it's on sale right now!  Last but not least is our favorite platter for meat & cheeses, the wood-marble platter.  It gives a pop of texture and pairs so nicely with all other colors.

Decor

We recommend keeping decor simple with lots of flowers an gifts for the girls.  The Crate & Barrel stemless wine glasses can double as vases to line the table, and you can get flowers from your local grocer.  For simple flowers, we love going to Trader Joe's.  By selecting the recipes we chose above, the food will actually add a lot of cohesive color to the table giving you an extra touch as well.

Popping the Question

You know we love personal touches and for us, the bridesmaid gift is where it all comes together.  First of all, pick super cute cards for each of the girls to write them a nice note asking them to be in the wedding.  We're head over heels for marrygrams from etsy.  They have such a great variety and have every situation covered!  We would pair that with something personalized with their name like a stemless champagne flute or a bottle of rosé with a custom label.  Last but not least, it's always fun to have a new piece of jewelry to wear.  We love thinking of something that's slightly personalized and super meaningful like an initial necklace.  Couple three items together in an adorable bag, tote or box.  By adding her name to the front, your gift doubles as an escort card as well!

#GMPBrideTribe

One of our favorite brides, Katie, hosted a Bridesmaid Proposal a few weeks back implementing lots of the ideas above.  It's clear that there are a million ways to bring the proposal to life in a way that fits your wedding theme, style and soon-to-be maids.  We can't wait to see pictures from your event soon!  Cheers!
