As the sun begins setting sooner and the days grow shorter, we're looking back and reflecting on our favorite trends of Summer 2016 to try to prolong the inevitable cold weather that is headed our way. We're always looking for new, creative ways to spice up our wedding and give it that personal touch it is missing. Whether you're a classic bride, a rustic chic gal or a glam girl, each trend can be highlighted in any wedding. Despite our list of favorite trends being miles long, we've narrowed it down to our top five.

1) Minimumlist Decor

Go easy on the flowers, the candles, and the purchases from Etsy. Opt-in for a minimalistic décor look and expose your venue or outdoor location you're getting married in.

2) Separates

Whether it's for your dress or your gal pal's, crop tops were a trend that hit summer hard. We loved how you could pair them with a sophisticated skirt for a wedding weekend brunch, or with high-waisted pants for the rehearsal. We absolutely adored giving your maid of honor the option to stand out in a crop top and skirt combo.

3) Two Hairstyles, One Night

With the humid summer air creeping in, start off the night with your hair down and then pin it back so you can dance the night away without feeling cramped. You'' be able to manage sweat a lot better with your hair off your shoulders.

4) Pops of Color

Adding one or two bright flowers into your bouquet will catch your guests' eyes as you walk down the aisle and be just enough to add a slight burst of summer into your big day.

5) Rose Gold Jewelry

Whether it was your engagement ring, the dinning silverware or anything in between, we can not get over the rose gold trend. Here's to hoping this one sticks around for awhile!
